Volunteer

Fabled Farm is completely volunteer run, so we always need people with a heart for helping animals! Do you have experience working with animals, construction knowledge, or are you willing to learn?

Volunteer Groups

We are excited to partner with businesses to save LIVES!

Fabled Farm Rescue and Sanctuary offers corporate team building and large group volunteer opportunities.

Give back to the community while spending a meaningful day working alongside animals. Projects are customized based on group size, age or participants, time of year, and donation budget. Past projects have included building outdoor enclosures for special needs animals, repairing and constructing fencing, painting animal housing, planting seasonal gardens, clearing land, and other hands on improvements at the farm.

Most group volunteer days are structured as 4-6 hour work days, with time to enjoy lunch at our picnic tables in the middle. Each visit concludes with a guided tour of the farm and time to meet the animals whose lives are directly supported by the work completed that day. These experiences provide an opportunity to collaborate, give back, and leave knowing the efforts made a  difference.

Contact us
  • Fabled Farm is completely volunteer run and donation funded.

  • We take in many different types of livestock and equines, such as donkeys, horses, pigs, alpacas, goats, sheep, chickens, and kittens.

  • Yes, all animals are fully vetted upon arriving at Fabled Farm. They will receive any needed vaccinations, deworming, gelding (male farm animal), spay/neuter and microchip(cats), teeth, and hoof care prior to being available for adoption.

  • Our adoption fees help to cover some of the cost of the vetting and farrier care the animals receive upon arriving at the farm, as well as daily feed, supplements, tack, or any other needed supplies.

  • We are happy to work with adopters who live out of the area, but we do require adopters to travel to Christiana, TN to pick up the animal. We do not offer transporting services at this time.

  • Some of the animals that come through rescue need extensive medical care, training for behavioral issues, or are considered hospice cases. These animals remain as part of the Fabled Farm Sanctuary program and receive the specific needed care.

  • Yes! We are always in need of supplies for the animals and will happily schedule a time for gently used or new equipment, unopened bags of feed, minerals or supplements to be delivered to the farm.

  • We LOVE hardworking volunteers and rely on people who love animals to help us with grooming, daily care, and construction projects around the farm. Visit our VOLUNTEER PAGE for more information and to sign up!

  • Yes!! Please CONTACT US for more details.

  • We are a working rescue, so we are only able to offer farm tours with special events. Please check out our EVENT PAGE for upcoming opportunities!
